Work History
Brett has served in a multitude of roles, including Corrections Officer, Patrol Officer, S.W.A.T. team member, Auto Theft Detective, Delta Field Force Member, and more. His leadership journey includes positions such as Patrol Sergeant, Violent Task Force Sergeant, and Field Force Commander. Notably, he commanded the K-9 & Mounted Unit and served as the Operations Section Chief for Operation Warp Speed for Region 3.

Physical Defensive Tactics
Brett Sharp is a certified Defensive Tactics Instructor, Spontaneous Knife Defense Instructor, and Close Quarters Countermeasures Instructor, bringing extensive training and experience in Tactical Ground Fighting and Jiu Jitsu to his repertoire. His expertise reflects a comprehensive approach to physical defensive tactics, ensuring a well-rounded skill set for effective instruction and application.
Combat Firearms
As a Certified Firearms Instructor, Tactical Rifle Instructor, and Active Shooter/Terrorist Response Instructor, Brett has undergone extensive training in Combat Firearms. His skill set includes Multi-Weapons Operators Training, Advanced Firearms Close Quarter Battle Training, and Tactical Handgun Training.
Counter Terrorism / Dignitary Protection
As an experienced S.W.A.T. Team Operator, Brett has received extensive training and hands-on experience in Dignitary and Witness Protection. Additionally, he has completed the Dignitary and Protection training provided by the Secret Service. His expertise extends to Counter Terrorism and Intelligence training, completion of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Tactical Commanders Course, and proficiency in Protective Measures for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosive incidents (FEMA). Brett has also undergone Chemical Defense Warfare Training and Response to Suicide Bomb Attacks (FEMA). His skills further include training in Field Force Extraction Tactics (FEMA), Law Enforcement Response Actions for CBRNE Incidents, Initial Law Enforcement Response to Suicide Bomb Attacks (FEMA), and Law Enforcement Protective Measures for CBRNE Incidents (FEMA). Brett is well-prepared for responding to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive incidents, as evidenced by his completion of the respective FEMA courses. Moreover, he has participated in the Jacksonville Regional Joint Criminal & Epidemiology Investigations Workshop.

In the realm of Emergency Vehicle Operations, Brett has completed specialized courses such as Police Driving & Pursuit, Precision Immobilization Technique (P.I.T.) Course, and Tactical Police Driving. His expertise also covers Vehicle Blocking, Vehicles in Combat Training, and Dignitary Protection Convoy Training.

Having successfully navigated hundreds of physical use-of-force encounters, foot pursuits, and vehicle pursuits, Sharp has emerged as a tactical leader. He boasts a winning record in Circuit, County, and Federal Courts, with achievements ranging from successful hostage rescues to planning and implementing security plans for major events such as Super Bowl XXXIX.
Sharp's collaborative efforts extend beyond local jurisdiction, having worked with various federal and international agencies, including the A.T.F., F.B.I., D.E.A., Israeli Mossad, and Secret Service. He has provided dignitary protection for former presidents, vice presidents, heads of state, senators, congressmen, and numerous other high-profile individuals.

Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Studies (Business and Government) from Liberty University. His academic foundation, combined with completion of the Law Enforcement Academy and Corrections Officer Academy, has contributed to a stellar career.
